Peshawar, The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Peshawar (BISE Peshawar) has been announced the result of matric exams 2011on Thursday June 15, 2011, said the Peshawar Board officials on the board website.
Total of 31,264 students of science group were appeared in the examinations of which 28,267 were declared successful with pass percentage of 90.41. In the humanities group, 25,149 students were appeared in the examinations and 16,579 were declared passed.
The humanities group was topped by Qania Obaid by getting 870 marks and Kashmala Shafiq got second position by gaining 857 marks and Ms Sidratul Muntaha got third by obtaining 850 marks.
While speaking at the award ceremony, Sardar Hussain Babak, Minister for elementary and Secondary Education appreciated the girl position holders as they got education while facing serious threats from the militants. He further said development is not possible without education. He added that militants didn’t want progress and prosperity of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He called upon the investors to invest in private education sector in Peshawar.
Total 119,231 students were appeared in the examination through Peshawar Board said chairman Peshawar board Dr Mohammad Shafi.
